Cubaris murina are very prolific and hardy. They prefer warm temperatures and are commonly used as a clean up crew for hermit crabs and tropical herps. They are commonly found on beaches and can tolerate salt water pretty well. They have been known to harmlessly submerge themselves in brackish water in vivariums.
